Mission Statement
The steering committee is responsible for monitoring the implementation and ongoing operation of NASAP and NABSC, interpreting the program requirements and reviewing and approving all recommended changes to the written program.
- The Houston Area Safety Council (HASC) is the Custodian of both NASAP and NABSC and will be responsible for interfacing with the Third- Party Administrators (TPAs) that will perform the substance abuse testing and background screens.
- The SC will provide oversight and direction to HASC. The SC will review and reject or approve any HASC recommendation to add or remove TPA's from NASAP or NABSC or other matters that may arise that affect NASAP or NABSC requirements. The SC may request that HASC investigate/evaluate potential TPA alternatives to meet program needs.
Meetings
The NASAP / NABSC Steering Committee meets quarterly or at the request of the committee Chair at IBR Offices, 5213 Center Street, Pasadena, Texas.
