Mission Statement

To promote safe and effective crane & rigging operations in the refining/petrochemical industry in the greater Houston area.

Objectives

  • To provide a forum for the industry in the greater Houston area where safe and effective crane & rigging operation, including the applicable laws and regulations, can be discussed and promoted.
  • To provide a forum for the introduction and discussion of new techniques and equipment in crane & rigging.
  • To develop and communicate recommendations and guidelines, where appropriate, that improve overall safe crane operations.
  • To promote crane operator training and qualification standards.

Meetings

The Crane & Rigging Committee meets at 8:00 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month (except July and December) at the HBR office.
