Mission Statement

To provide a forum where industry can address contractor/owner workforce issues.

Objectives

Continue to gather and issue Manpower Workforce Projection data three times a year.
Liaison with CMEF to improve the training and skill level of Houston area craft persons.
Support CMEF in improving our industry image and recruiting persons to enter the construction and maintenance workforce through programs like “School-to-Work”.
Review CMEF funding and budgeting and make recommendations to the HBR Operating Committee.
Develop and administer a Training Excellence Award for contractors that demonstrate a strong commitment and achieve outstanding performance in craft skills training

Meetings

The Contractor Workforce Development Committee meets at 7:30 a.m. the third Tuesday of each month (except July) at the HBR office. Workforce Development Award Audit Training meets at June meeting and Best Practices November Meeting.
